Jeremiah Johnson’s career in HIV/AIDS advocacy has grown from his personal experiences with the virus. Jeremiah was 25 when he was diagnosed with HIV while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine. When he was dismissed after testing positive, he worked with the ACLU to overturn Peace Corps’ policy. Following his dismissal, Jeremiah pursued further advocacy in the field of HIV/AIDS, working as a case manager and prevention specialist in rural Colorado before deciding to pursue a Masters in Public Health at Columbia University... More
