A rubric is an assessment tool that lays out the expectations for an assignment by identifying its various components, with detailed descriptions of acceptable and unacceptable levels of performance for each component. Attendees of this workshop will learn how to identify common types of rubrics and how they are used, examine the benefits of using rubrics for both faculty and students, and discuss strategies for implementing rubrics in CoursePlus.
