Provides a forum for students to engage with multiple faculty to discuss current topics in health security and global catastrophic biological risks. Emphasizes active participation in discussions related to peer-reviewed publications, as well as trends in research and policy, and offers an environment to contemplate and receive feedback on research development.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Critique qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods peer-reviewed manuscripts in the context of health security.”
  2. Analyze current trends related to health security research and policy
  3. Examine the growing role of health security in addressing global catastrophic biological risks
  4. Discuss and provide feedback on research ideas and projects
