Description
Are you interested to learn how to determine whether a program is effective? This course teaches students to describe a program from the lens of an evaluator and the skills and knowledge needed to conduct a program evaluation.
Familiarizes students with the basic concepts of program evaluation. Teaches skills in writing goals and SMART objectives, as well as developing logic models and creating a plan for a process evaluation.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Describe a program from the lens of an evaluator
  2. Develop a program logic model
  3. Describe the main components of a process evaluation and methods that can be used to address each component

This course is evaluated as follows:
  • 10% Participation
  • 50% Written Assignment(s)
  • 40% Final Paper
