Description
For HPM PhD students who need to document their practicum participation on their transcripts and/or need to be formally registered for a practicum to meet requirements for their visa.
Provides PhD students in HPM with an integrated, practical experience, applying coursework and theory to real-world settings. Places students based on their individual goals and interests and preceptor needs.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Apply the skills and competencies learned in the program to a real-world public health or research setting
Methods of Assessment
This course is evaluated as follows:
  • 80% Reflection
  • 20% Preceptor written evaluation
