Integrates academic training with current research in biochemistry and molecular biology and the implications of this research in addressing major public health concerns. Weekly presentations are held by researchers from JHU and other biomedical research institutions on the results of state of the art investigations conducted in their laboratories, emphasizing experimental design and methodology.
Learning ObjectivesUpon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
- Cite examples of current research, policy, or practice in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology
- Identify areas of interest for current and future research
- Recognize the features of engaging presentations and participate in discussions with fellow researchers
Methods of Assessment
This course is evaluated as follows:
- 100% Participation
Only open to BMB Postdocs, PhD and ScM students.
Presentations occur in person and via Zoom on Mondays at noon, and are recorded. Attendance in real-time is encouraged, but review of recorded presentations is also acceptable.
