Bloomberg School Wins Two Signal Awards and Four CASE Awards

The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health’s Office of External Affairs has won two Signal Awards and four CASE Awards. Signal Awards recognize podcasts that demonstrate excellence in audio production and celebrate meaningful, powerful projects across the world. CASE Awards, presented by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, recognize and honor outstanding people and programs. 

Public Health On Call 

The podcast Public Health On Call, which makes important public health topics accessible to all, earned two Signal Awards:

  • The show won a Silver Award in the category of Best Show in Education.
  • The two-part series The Consequences of Abortion Restriction won a Bronze award in the category of Limited Series & Specials, Science and Education. The series looked at the fallout after Roe v. Wade was overturned, including how patient care has changed because of restrictions, an increase in births, and the serious health problems patients face. 

Hopkins Bloomberg Public Health Magazine

Hopkins Bloomberg Public Health magazine, which takes readers inside the most important issues of public health by covering the science, the scientists, and the people who benefit from advances in health, won CASE Best of District II Awards in three categories:

Connecting the Global Alumni Network 

The School’s Interest Area Networks, created by the Office of Alumni Relations, won a CASE Best of District II Award in the category of Alumni Relations Initiatives (More Than 25 Staff). Launched in 2022, the program brings together the School’s global alumni community based on common interests.
