MMI Professor J. Marie Hardwick Receives CDD Award at European Cell Death Organization Annual Conference

J. Marie HardwickPhD, the David Bodian Professor in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the Bloomberg School, received the CDD (Cell Death and Differentiation) Award on June 28, at the European Cell Death Organization’s (ECDO) annual conference which took place in Paris, France. CDD award recipients are recognized as active investigators who have produced innovative and paradigm-shifting research worthy of significant and broad attention in cell death. 

Each year at its annual conference, the ECDO invites a scientist with an exceptional record in cell death research to present the ECDO Honorary Lecture. After giving a keynote lecture at the conference Professor Hardwick was presented with the award for pioneering studies defining key components of cell death pathways.
