Pearl is an HES Professional at the Marathon Petroleum Los Angeles Refinery. After earning a master's degree, we caught up with this busy industrial hygienist to get her feedback about the program. Here's what Pearl had to say.

What's been your experience in the program?

As a full-time industrial hygienist, it is challenging to balance both work and school. The part-time online program provides a lot of flexibility with course schedules, lectures, and classwork. The summer and winter institutes allow for the on-campus experience of attending class in person and meeting fellow classmates who are also full-time professionals and part-time students!

The faculty members are easy to interact with and are absolute experts in their field. I appreciate the smaller class sizes that allow for more in-depth discussions with the course instructors.

What's your opinion of the program's faculty?

The faculty members are easy to interact with and are absolute experts in their field. I appreciate the smaller class sizes that allow for more in-depth discussions with the course instructors.

How was your interaction with other students in the program?

This master's program has allowed me to meet full-time professionals in the same field who are equally devoted to learning and being the best in their field. It's a really great way to network - you have the opportunity to discuss and learn from each other's past experiences.
