In light of all the recent events surrounding the treatment of Dr. Sherita Hill Golden, the Johns Hopkins Social Justice Coalition, comprised of our twelve organizations, has been working actively to voice and address our concerns. On March 21, 2024 we penned an open letter to leadership which holds 5 specific asks.  If you would like to show your support, please sign change.org petition and help raise awareness. Our open letter serves as a complete records of the events surrounding Dr. Golden, so if you are unfamiliar we encourage you to read it.

In order to have an opportunity to process these events and how the affect us, we are pleased to announce an open forum titled "Threats to DEI: How it Affects All of Us" scheduled for April 17, 2024, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the School of Nursing, room S120. This event is meant to serve as a platform for courageous conversations about how recent actions and inactions by Hopkins have affected us whether students, faculty, or staff. It is an opportunity to voice concerns, ask tough questions, and explore how these issues influence our sense of safety, health, and overall wellbeing.

This forum is open to all students, faculty, and staff. Your participation is crucial as we navigate these significant matters together. To facilitate organization and ensure everyone interested can attend, please register here.

We look forward to your contributions and to engaging in meaningful dialogue that propels us toward positive change.
