Capacity Development

Our efforts within capacity development – a core feature of our efforts to address the global burden of injuries – span all facets of injury prevention and focus on combining a strong public health approach and scientific principles with examples of challenges and successes from low- and middle-income countries.

Faculty from the Unit cover the basic sciences of public health (epidemiology and biostatistics), social sciences (behavior and communications), health systems analysis (health economics), ethics and issues of cultural sensitivity (equity), and primarily engage with public health professionals, medical and research personnel, as well as graduate students from LMICs.

Training Programs

Available to passionate injury prevention students and professionals, alike, from around the globe, our training programs are available throughout the year via a number of offerings.
