About
Through research, education, and practice, we’re working to create a world free of injuries.
Since our inception in 2008, JH-IIRU has played a leading role in injury prevention around the world. Building on a strong history of cutting-edge research frameworks from over a decade of innovation and research in global injury prevention and control, we’re working to create a world free of injuries through research, education, and practice.
In recognition of our growing role as a leader in injury prevention, we were designated as a World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Injuries, Violence and Accident Prevention. One of only three collaborating centers in the United States to focus on injury prevention, we joined a network of more than 800 such centers across more than 80 countries.
We currently work in over 30 countries around the globe on a coordinated strategy involving research, practice and education.
