Education
As an integral part of our mission, we use a three-pronged approach of learning by doing, workshops, and coursework to address the global burden of injuries. We focus on combining a strong public health approach, scientific principles and lessons, and successes from low- and middle-income countries.
Our faculty conduct hands-on training for collaborators in areas such as project design and implementation, as well as data collection and analysis. We regularly conduct workshops on a variety of topics, including injury surveillance and trauma registries. We also offer online courses through the distance education program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Capacity Development
Our capacity development efforts address the global burden of injuries by integrating public health principles with real-world insights from low- and middle-income countries. Faculty provide expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, social sciences, health economics, and ethics, engaging with public health professionals, researchers, and students to drive meaningful change.
