Digital health solutions based on artificial intelligence are the focus of this month's Research Roundup, which features Chaitali Sinha of the the International Development Research Centre as guest editor. Sinha presents a new report on implementation research of AI-based solutions in global health, discussing the components of responsible design and showcasing 12 case studies of AI-based interventions led by the Global South.

The first edition of 2025  delves into the critical topic of data integrity in online surveys with our guest editor, Jeffrey Hardesty of the Johns Hopkins' Institute for Global Tobacco Control. Taking a research methods focus, this edition explores the challenges and innovations in ensuring reliable, high-quality data collection in the digital age. 

This month's edition of Research Roundup takes a look at USAID's new Digital Health Position Paper, 2024-29, featuring a discussion on the agency's digital health strategic priorities between Adele Waugaman, Senior Advisor in Digital for USAID, and CGDHI Director Smisha Agarwal.

In this edition of our Research Roundup, we focus on the recently released Digital Healthcare Equity Framework  and its Implementation Guide, a foundational resource that helps ensure digital healthcare solutions promote and improve health equity. Our guest editors, Dr. Matt Austin and Dr. Elham Hatef, created these resources through a contract with the US Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
