the Joint Annual Meeting of the International Society of Exposure Science (ISES) and the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) 2025

Auguste 17-20, 2025 in Atlanta, GA

The overall theme is “Global Environmental Health Equity across the Lifespan”. With the rich civil rights history of Atlanta, the theme integrates equality with environmental health. As researchers, we know that our work should have practical implications and help all, not just those who can afford to live in more pristine regions. We are aware there are many places worldwide that are devoid of clean air, water, and soil; some of those are in our own city. In line with the theme, we will work with community-based organizations to provide a “toxic tour” to show where environmental epidemiology and exposure science have helped neighborhoods in Atlanta decrease exposures to myriad pollutants.

ECHO Wearables(link is external) - Pediatric Accelerometers

Experts in wearable technology from the ECHO Data Analysis Center (DAC) and Johns Hopkins University discuss the use of accelerometers in pediatric health research. This is the first in a series of educational videos on what research questions may be addressed with wearables, best practices for designing studies and collecting data with wearables, and how to analyze these data. Future videos will include experts from across the ECHO Program.
