Specialized Centers of Research Excellence (SCORE) on Sex Differences
Johns Hopkins Center for Women's Health, Sex, and Gender Research is recognized as a Specialized Center of Research Excellence (SCORE) as part of the Sex Difference program of the Office of Research on Women’s Health at NIH.
A Hub for Women’s Health Research
As an NIH-supported Center of Excellence, we serve as a national resource for translational research at multiple levels of analysis to identify the role of biological sex differences on the health of women.
We not only serve as a vital hub for research on sex and gender, we also provide pilot funding, training, and education. Our investigators provide leadership in the development and promotion of standards and policies for the consideration of sex as a biological variable and sex differences in biomedical research.
