Five-year Evaluation of the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria
IIP was part of a large partnership contracted to evaluate the impact of the Global Fund on the course and response to HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The evaluation team was led by MACRO International and included the World Health Organization, Harvard University and the Africa Population and Health Research Center.
During the two years of this project (March 07 – March 09) the evaluation team worked with partner organizations in 18 countries who had received funding for one or more disease areas. The work focused on documenting the impact of increased funding on the level of response to the three diseases.
IIP’s primary responsibility on the project was to serve as the project facilitators with three countries (Vietnam, Ethiopia and Kyrgyzstan) and led the work on HIV and Malaria modeling for the evaluation team.
