Self-Care is the practice and preservation of emotional, social, physical, and spiritual health and well-being. This workshop is intended to increase your understanding of self-care and explore wellness goals, healthy boundaries, burnout prevention and stress-reducing techniques. 

Please join Jennifer West in this interactive discussion on how to manage internal and external factors and identify strategies to preserve your mental health and well-being as graduate students who self-identify as Black, Indigenous or other persons of color (BIPOC).The session will include a brief presentation and small group discussions/reflections. 

Jennifer is a student assistance clinician with the Johns Hopkins Student Assistance Program. In this role, she focuses on clinical counseling with graduate students and the support for students of color, with the goal of providing emotionally safe, culturally competent counseling, programming and overall support for marginalized populations at Hopkins.
