Dr. Gindi started federal service as a health survey statistician at the National Center for Health Statistics in 2009. She currently leads the branch that produces Health, United States, the Secretary's annual report to Congress on the health of the nation. Recently, she coordinated the redesign of the National Health Interview Survey, which required both scientific and project management skills. She enjoys working on teams to solve problems in innovative and efficient ways. Dr. Gindi received her MPH from the University of California, Berkeley and her PhD from the Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Outside of work, Renee is an avid reader and runner, a novice percussionist, and a passable home cook.
