Centering the Voices of Formerly and Currently Incarcerated People & Leaders in the Movement speaker series is back for second year with From Prison Cells to PhD, Johns Hopkins Center for Public Health and Human Rights, Johns Hopkins Medical Humanities and Social Medicine, and Bloomberg American Health Initative . This is the second event of a two-part series.
Join us April 5th at noon ET for Part 2: Justice for Womxn and Girls.
The second lecture will engage the audience in a thought-provoking discussion around the impact of the carceral system on women and girls.
It will additionally dive into the profiteering aspect of the carceral system’s communication and operational tactics and the impact on families and communities of color.
Lastly, all of the conversations will be centered on racial equity from the lens of the formerly incarcerated leaders delivering the lectures.
