Hosted by the Institute for Global Tobacco Control (IGTC), the monthly Innovations in Tobacco Control lecture series welcomes key researchers and experts to share ideas, present their work, and spark discussion.
Presented via Zoom webinar, this virtual event welcomes Armando Peruga, MD, PhD, for a lecture entitled, “The Evolution of Tobacco Control.”
The lecture will be followed by a brief moderated Q&A and a recording of the event will subsequently be posted to IGTC’s YouTube channel.

Speaker
Armando Peruga, MD, PhD
Armando Peruga is a physician and a doctor in Public Health. He began to work with the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization in 1990. He was the program manager for TFI/WHO until January of 2016. He is now an associate researcher at the Biomedical Research Institute of Bellvitge (IDIBELL) in Barcelona and a professor at the Center for Epidemiology and Health Policy of the University del Desarrollo in Chile.
