2021

Ashani Weeraratna was named one of Cancer Health Magazine’s 2021 Cancer Health 25 awardees

Vito Rebecca received the Ho-Ching Yang Memorial Fellowship, one of three School of Public Health Faculty Innovation Fund Awards, which supports cancer research with particular importance to improving the health of populations

Jiou Wang and his team were selected as a Cozzarelli Prize finalist by PNAS

Anthony Leung was named a 2021 President’s Frontier Award Finalist

Jennifer Kavran, Anthony Leung, and Scott Bailey received 2020 Johns Hopkins Discovery Awards

Jiou Wang was elected to American Society for Clinical Investigation

Marina Pryzhkova, Assistant Scientist in the Jordan Lab, received the 2020 KY Cha Award in Stem Cell Technology from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

2019

Anthony Leung was awarded the 2019 Shikani/El-Hibri Prize for Discovery and Innovation in recognition for his work recently published in Molecular Cell: “ELTA: Enzymatic labeling of terminal ADP-Ribose.

Fengyi Wan was awarded the Samuel Jordan Graham award recognizing excellence in basic science research collaboration between faculty members in the Schools of Public Health and Medicine, for his work with Cynthia Sears in the School of Medicine

Valeria Culotta received the Ivano Bertini Achievement Award for Bioinorganic Chemistry of Copper at the International Meeting on Copper in Health and Disease, in Sorrento, Italy

Valeria Culotta received an inaugural Dean’s award for Distinction in Faculty Mentoring
