Hans Oh, PhD

Post-doctoral fellow at UC Berkeley School of Public Health

Hans Oh is a post-doctoral fellow at UC Berkeley School of Public Health. Trained as a social worker, Hans was a Behavioral Health Fellow in the Psychiatry Department of Yale School of Medicine, where he worked at the Connecticut Mental Health Center as an acute crisis clinician and peer support program supervisor. He also undertook a Psycho-social Rehabilitation Fellowship at the Veteran Affairs in San Diego, where he provided recovery-oriented services to veterans with psychotic disorders. His areas of interest include the social determinants of mental health and wellness, recovery-oriented service provision, health disparities, and social integration. Hans has conducted numerous analyses of psychiatric epidemiological surveys to examine the relation between discrimination and psychotic experiences among people of color in the United States. He earned his Bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley, and his PhD from Columbia University School of Social Work.
