Autumn Kieber-Emmons

Attending physician at Lehigh Valley Health Network and Family Medicine Residency Program

Dr. Autumn Kieber-Emmons is a faculty attending physician at Lehigh Valley Health Network and Family Medicine Residency Program.  In addition to providing full-spectrum family medicine for low-income Spanish-speaking patients in the local FQHC, Dr. Kieber-Emmons’ academic work focuses on improving care disparities for vulnerable and underserved patients through mixed methods policy analyses. Her research to date has aimed at comparative policy analysis and evaluation, with particular focus on insurance access, patient-centered medical home innovation including integration with behavioral health, and cancer survivorship care.  Dr. Kieber-Emmons has a BS in Biochemistry and minor in Philosophy from Loyola College, an MD from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She completed her family medicine residency at UCSF – San Francisco General Hospital Family, where she refined her clinical care of underserved populations and undertook research examining Medicaid expansion within the ACA.  She is currently funded through an NIH Re-Entry Supplement, and is undertaking a mixed methods health policy analysis of environmental and contextual attributes that influence cancer survivorship care within exemplar primary care practices nationally.
