Yvonne Mensa-Wilmot is a Public Service Faculty in the Carl Vinson Institute of Government (CVIOG), a public service and outreach unit of the University of Georgia. In this role, Dr. Mensa-Wilmot manages the evaluation of multi-site public health projects and provides technical support to state and local governments in Georgia on program planning. Prior to joining the Survey Research and Evaluation Unit at CVIOG, she served as a Program Evaluator with the Office of Prevention Services and Programs, working with both the Department of Public Health and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in GA. For both departments, her responsibilities included leading the planning efforts, implementation, and evaluation of projects to inform policy making. Her prior experience also covers the area of community health education and promotion. She received her Ph.D. in Food Science from the University of Georgia, an MPH from the University of Ghana, and a Certificate of Evaluation Practice from the Midge Smith Center for Evaluation Effectiveness, George Washington University.
