General Information

Course Credit

Courses may be taken for academic credit or on a non-credit basis. Students who take a non-credit course will not be required to complete assignments, and completion of the course will not appear on a Bloomberg School transcript. Retroactive conversion from academic credit to non-credit is not permitted.

Please see the main Summer Institutes registration page for more information. There is also specific information for international students that you might find useful.

Cancellation Policy

The Health, Behavior and Society Summer Institute reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment, in which case the full tuition will be refunded. The Institute abides by the Bloomberg School's refund policy.

A variety of options are available for students who require housing near the East Baltimore campus. Please see the main Summer Institutes housing page for more information.

Equal Opportunity Statement

Johns Hopkins University does not discriminate on the basis of gender, marital status, pregnancy, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, veteran status or other legally protected characteristic in any student program or activity administered by the university or with regard to admission or employment. Defense Department discrimination in ROTC programs on the basis of sexual orientation conflicts with this university policy.
