Description:

Implementation science is an emerging, multidisciplinary field seeking to translate evidence based interventions and practice into meaningful population impact. Interested in implementation science but not quite sure how exactly it differs from clinical effectiveness research or public health practice? This course will help you to formulate implementation science questions, outcomes and study designs.

Learning Objectives:

Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
1)Articulate what implementation science is and how to formulate implementation research questions
2)Differentiate between determinant, process and evaluative implementation frameworks and models and understand when to apply them
3)Identify how to select and specify an implementation strategy
4)Describe implementation outcomes and measures
5)Identify basic study designs and considerations in implementation research
6)Consider the role of community priorities and best practices for community engagement in implementation research
